Louisville P3 Brings Tech Training to Area High School Students

Louisville will be the home of 10,000 new tech jobs by 2020, and a new public-private partnership is preparing high school students in the city to be ready for entry-level positions following training.

Software company InterApt and Transform Education Kentucky recently created a program to train students in a fast-paced environment through strategically designed sessions different than a traditional classroom. Students from 13 local high schools are receiving the free training which focuses on software development and coding.

“For businesses, this is an easy way to contribute directly to the tech talent pipeline that we are building in Kentucky,” said Carrie Rodgers with Transform Education Kentucky.
